Since opening Modern Local Art Gallery in Mars Hill, NC in 2022, owner Beth Boone has developed a passion for helping local artists and their Western North Carolina communities work together in ways that benefit both.
Out of that heart-centered aim, Beth founded ARTSOUP, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to encourage this dynamic partnership.
To that end, ARTSOUP offers workshops and events to celebrate all the arts and develop a deeper, warmer sense of community. It’s something we all need more of right now!
Beth believes—and ARTSOUP demonstrates—that whole-hearted participation in creative activities inspires our daily lives and makes us better humans, both for ourselves and our towns.
